Kevin Hourihane, Founder & CEO
Steel Thread Software, Inc. was founded by Kevin Hourihane in Sept 2008. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hourihane brings a proven technology expertise as well as a talent for customer-oriented service delivery that drives profitability and growth for professional technical services companies. He is a champion for innovative solutions that solve meaningful problems for the Federal Government.
Under his management, the company has emerged as a leader in enterprise-wide, mission critical information technology solutions. In addition to his business leasdership and management oversight role, he also provides strategic technology direction based on more than 20 years of software design, architecture, development, testing, integration, and delivery experience.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Hourihane provided Agile transformation coaching and collaborative software development consulting services for private sector financial banking and Federal Government customers. Additionally, he founded "Innovative Business Technology" (a DC area startup fcused on providing cost-effective IT consulting services), and served as Technical Project Manager, Software Developer and Architect for several large organizations such as Intel Corp., US Dept of Labor, AOL, and others.
